These postcards were created by women survivors of gender-based violence/hatred and others who are concerned with women’s oppression. The postcards are visual representations of lived experiences and serve to more accurately depict the empowering and disempowering experiences of women. By displaying women’s personal stories in public space, I intend to politicize women’s personal and raise awareness of women's issues in an attempt to stop acts of gender-based violence/hatred.

Visual response to the prompt: "A time when you defied a negative gender-based stereotype"
I love the positive message that this postcards sends. I interpret it as a woman saved the company that she works for, rather than negatively impacting it, which could have been a belief of male administrators.
I love this post card too! I think it's inspiring that they believed enough in her and gave her the chance, and being the smart self confident women she is, she did a great job!
