  1. This postcard hits home for me. I had a friend that expereinced assault yet she wasn't willing to work with police and to stay on them so that they would work hard to find the person who assaulted her. It really angered me and ruined our friendship. Because she didn't do anything there was another victim who had a much worse experience.

  2. My friend did contact the police but the guy was still never found. I often wonder if he's still creeping around preying on his next victim.

  3. Unfortunately, offenders repeat their attacks because some women are too afraid to tell anyone. I guess it has to do with how they feel people will perceive them after they know. They need to know it is not their fault, and that they can save other people from experiencing the same trauma...or worse.

  4. It is outrageous that society tends to blame the victim for being attacked. Instead of asking what could the victim have done differently to avoid being attacked, we need to focus on how to stop these inexcusable attacks.

  5. Please file a police report if you are assulted. You could save someone's life. You were lucky enough to survive the next victim may not. If they did it once and didn't get caught they will try again.
