These postcards were created by women survivors of gender-based violence/hatred and others who are concerned with women’s oppression. The postcards are visual representations of lived experiences and serve to more accurately depict the empowering and disempowering experiences of women. By displaying women’s personal stories in public space, I intend to politicize women’s personal and raise awareness of women's issues in an attempt to stop acts of gender-based violence/hatred.

I'm so glad that you recognized that you were in an abusive situation and had the courage to leave and not stay in an unhealthy relationship. I'm sure that it was difficult to leave the relationship, but you made the right choice for yourself.
I's so proud of you! It takes alot of courage to leave an abusive relationship. It can be quite scarey being by yourself, but it is so much better that being in a toxic relationship.
